Celtic Rouge was born early in 2005 when RSAMD students Kenny Carlyle and Richard Waghorn decided to "get a tune together". David Nicol joined as front-man.
In 2006 guitarist Lewis Cannon joined the band, bringing with him a whole range of new musical possibilities.
With one or two minor personell changes over the years, the band continue to gig extensively throughout the country.
Recently, the band has performed at many prestigous events including the official opening of Dundee's Baxter's park and have played in some of the countries leading venues including Glasgow Fruit Market, Glasgow Transport Museum, Edinburgh Castle andsome of the finest hotels in the Uk.
The band were also privelleged to performe for Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Higness the Duke of Edinburgh in June 2007.
Celtic Rouge are now working on their second studio album which will be released in 2011. Stay tuned for more details!
